Welcome

Hello and welcome to the launch of my blog. First I would like to thank you for stopping by and taking a read, I hope it can at least be a pleasant distraction for you. Now, with the pleasantries aside, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. What is the blog for?!

Is it for me to promote our beer and food? Is it for me to asks questions about what you want to see change? Is it for me to post random musing about issues that might not matter much to most people? Well the long and short is YES, and a whole bunch more. There will be a good amount of inside tidbits (prior to emails, talk from staff or loose rumors on the street) of new beers, menu changes and upcoming events. There will be some special promotions known just to the blog readers (and anyone who the blog readers happen to tell…). There will be discussions of not only our beer, but of other brewery’s beer that I (or you) find enjoyable (God, I love my job – drinking beer, then talking about it!). There will be talk about wines on our list and other wines that I (or you) like or just want to discuss (wait…beer and wine?). And as I said before, A WHOLE LOT MORE!

So, thanks for stopping by. If you are interested in following the blog, sign up for email updates, or add the RSS feed to your browser (click here for our RSS feed). Oh, and major changes are coming to our main stay line up at the end of February, but our choices are not final yet. To make your suggestions, just post them in the comment section, as I would love to hear’em.

Cheers!

Dave

As a long time fan (Original Claw Dogs member) I would love to see Sawtooth as a regualr beer in the line up^^^

Dave. Thanks for creating this blog. I think this along with Facebook will really bring the DuClaw community together and keep us all engaged. As for the beers I’d like to see on your normal line-up……It would have to be Consecration or HellRazor.

Thanks for the comments guys! I love both of those choices. HellRazer we took off because of changes coming to the lineup in late February. It was a tough call, but it was either Razer or Venom. I wish you guys luck with the snow coming!!!

Dave, Heard a rumor at the last release that there will be no Naked Fish this year. Please tell me this is wrong! It’s one of the few fruited beers that I like, and I love the Fish! I’m glad to have a forum to vent to you, very cool. I’ll be interested to see the lineup changes.

I have to say sawtooth needs to be a regular, as does either bad moon porter (I mean, come on, even after the fire, the Bel Air store STILL has a story board on the wall for it, someone’s got a sweet spot for that brew) or Naked Fish.

Besides, who’s to say we can’t have a larger year round lineup, you guys have so many taps unused half the time, there’s clearly room for more, and it would help increase sampler revenues.

Oh, and not that it’s likely to sway you now, but I really think the Hellrazer/Venom decision is a little bass ackwards.

@Bob – The rumors are true. Naked Fish is taking a leave of absence this year. Serum is being released in February (Fish’s normal spot). I know this doesn’t quite sweep away your sorrows, but every time we make a lineup change, some are going to be unhappy, while some are not. But, just to make sure, Naked Fish will be back next year! Good luck with the SNOW.

    Cheers,

    Dave

@ Catlina – well as much as we had to dissapoint Bob, Catlina, you are going to be happy. Bad Moon is making its way back late February or early March. I can’t wait either!

    Cheers,

    Dave

Dave, thanks for the response. Glad to hear that Fish is only taking a hiatus! Looking forward to Bad Moon’s return. Luckily we survived the snow (my back barely survived) and I’m very glad the kids are back in school, they had serious cabin fever!

I just logged into the blog for the firs time and I just want to say…
…I (and many of my friends) miss you in Fell’s Point, sorry it didn’t work out. :(
have you considered Canton or better yet Brewer’s Hill?

Tony – thanks for joining, and thanks for your support. We have looked at both those areas, but currently we have no plans for expansion (except through franchises). Cheers!

    Hi Dave,
I like the rotating line up you guys are working on. I think bottling the beers while they are on the bench so they are availble at the local BevMo will be a positive selling point.
    Good luck,
    -Ty

@Ty – thanks for the feedback. Nice thinking on the bottling part!
