So, the second batch of our eXile series has been in the tank for a little over a week and a half. I tasted it Tuesday of last week and was quite pleased with it. What style is it you ask? Well, you are going to have to wait till I post the launch date (which you will see here first!). Here is another clue though “grote boze wolf”. Language matters :)
One other thing. We have still not officially committed to a style for our 3rd eXile series. Post your comments for what you like to see.
Hope you had a good weekend!
Cheers,
Dave

Would love to see something similar to Consecration.

Black IPA. Aside from that, a Flanders Red down the road would be killer!

I would love to see Jim and Bo get cranking on something with coconut for the summer. How about something along the lines of an Imperial Coconut Cream Stout. Maybe even throw some French Oak into the mix (chips or spirals). Or maybe you could get some coffee into that recipe as well? Anyway…just my two cents. Keep up the great work guys!

The coconut cream stout sounds interesting, but even a vanilla stout or porter would work, possibly for Christmas in July time?

How about a coconut blonde! That would be awesome on Nitro!

I think grote boze wolf translates to Big Bad Wolf! With a name like that I imagine something dark!

Remember, language matters.

So possibly a dopelbock or triplebock you are saying?

The translation of ‘grote boze wolf’ is correct. So the two hints are:
May 5th, 2010 at 3:13 pm1) BIG BAD WOLF
2) Language matters (hint – what language is ‘grote boze wolf’?)

BIG BAD WOLF = Super-Sawtooth?
May 5th, 2010 at 6:35 pmSays:
Dutch, of course.
May 5th, 2010 at 6:38 pmSays:
Dutch is one of three official languages of Belgium. Sawtooth is a Belgian Wit. And Big Bad Wolf would lead you to believe a high alcohol Sawtooth, or what we might call an Imperial. But, would people like at 7% alcohol Imperial Belgian Wit that tastes so delicious you could drink it to no end on a 90 degree summer day?

I think as long as the higher oomph does not make it heaver. This is a crisp summer beer that should refresh and relax…. not sure about the extra kick for this one. Maybe up the flavor and aroma with a touch of lemon grass and keep the octane at regular…. wahahah says the floorguy!

I’d sure like to see that peach bare ass blonde make another appearance on a random Firkin Friday. Great summer session beer.
